Sports Massage

What is sports massage? It is the application of massage therapy that is specifically geared to help athletes prepare to compete, or recover from competition. It is also used as an adjunct tool to enhance the athletes training performance during periods of training. But this can also be applied to anyone, athlete or not. We all get injured at some time or other and we need specific massage treatments that address our specific injury. And that is what sports massage is all about. It can address chronic pain issues and issues where range of motion has been compromised or restricted as in a frozen neck/shoulder or painful knee, etc.
